Scholarships and Bursaries

Founder’s Bursary Program
Funded by The John Dobson Foundation and named after the founder of ACE, Ian Aitken, the Founder’s Bursary Program awards a total of $15,000 to outstanding students for their contributions to their SIFE Program.

The program is split into two bursary opportunities. One bursary is to recognize three students who showcase valuable leadership skills over the past school year. The other is to recognize six students who actively participate in ACE between May and August and create and implement a SIFE project during that time period.

Team Leadership Bursary
This award recognizes and awards three students who have exhibited superior leadership and team development during the current academic year.

Three bursary recipients will each receive $2,500 towards their university or college tuition for the upcoming school year.

Project Management Bursary
To recognize and award six students who create and implement a SIFE project which will increase the overall impact of their Team’s SIFE program.

Six bursary recipients will each receive $1,250 towards their university or college tuition for the upcoming school year.

Gwyn Morgan Bursary for Principled Leadership
Mr. Gwyn Morgan is one of the country’s most respected business leaders. With his dedication to excellence in business and his commitment to continually giving back to the community, Mr. Morgan is an ideal role model for the numerous ACE students across Canada.

The scholarship is in the sum of $2500.

The recipient of the first ever ACE Gwyn Morgan Scholarship for Principled Leadership has exemplified the seven ACE core values and has proved that teamwork, trust and integrity governs his behaviour. He has chosen a path where a positive attitude and strong ethical values are apparent in every aspect of his leadership style. His attention to detail and grounded approach allows for his team to see him as a bastion of support. He is consistent in his decision making and willing to make the tough decisions to ensure what is right for the team. This student sets a clear example for the other leaders in the ACE network can strive for.
