Across the country, university and college faculty are helping to create young, confident, entrepreneurial and community minded youth, poised to make a difference to the Canadian business landscape and to create a brighter future for Canada. As a faculty advisor, you support, mentor and coach your SIFE team, who apply what they have learned in the classroom to researching, developing and implementing educational outreach initiatives, these projects will in turn create economic opportunity in your community. This provides you with the unique opportunity to interact with students who embrace entrepreneurship and who are passionate about developing their skills while helping others. Furthermore, as an active faculty advisor you have an opportunity to be named a John Dobson ACE Fellow. As a member of the fellowship you have access to numerous additional benefits, including: - An annual stipend of $1,000
- A plaque that recognizes the faculty advisor's membership in the fellowship
- A letter of recognition from the John Dobson Foundation.
Many students, even years after graduation, credit the support of their faculty advisor in helping them reach their goals, both personal and professional. Students involved in SIFE not only gain skills and knowledge through their projects and initiatives, but discover a vast network of entrepreneurs and business leaders interested in their success. Teams have the opportunity to showcase their school and their accomplishments at ACE's Regional and National Expositions. Find out if there is an SIFE team on your campus by contacting the SIFE program representative in your region. Click here for contact information.
