At the age of 26, Cameron Laker started Mindfield Group. Now a roaring success, Cameron attributes his success to his direct involvement with ACE.

Vancouver, BC (Wednesday, September 16, 2009) - Vancouver based young entrepreneur Cameron Laker’s growing company, Mindfield Group, has been ranked number eight on the prestigious “Profit Hot 50 List of Emerging Growth Companies”.

Now only three years into operation, Mindfield Group is Canada’s leading recruitment process outsourcing provider for the retail industry. They specialize in providing retailers with a fully managed outsourced recruitment service for all hiring needs including store manager support, candidate sourcing, candidate screening, recruitment technology and new store opening services. Big name clients include: Overwaitea Foods Group, Mr. Lube and Town Shoes.

Mindfield’s biggest achievements, and the reason for being number eight on the Profit Hot 50 list, are growing from two to 20 employees and having 1,697% revenue growth in only two short years. 2009 company highlights have been over 10,000 client hires, over 81,000 candidates sourced and having the client turnover rate down by 50%.

“I feel very strongly that much of my current success is a direct result of my ongoing involvement with ACE”, explains Mindfield Group CEO Cameron Laker. “When I attended BCIT I was able to harness my entrepreneurial spirit and gain my first real exposure to the world of recruitment through ACE. Now as an alumnus I am still activity involved with this organization and helping other future business leaders realize their full potential.”

“With tough economic times ACE is helping to build a better Canada by preparing tomorrow’s business leaders today”, comments ACE President Amy Harder    . “Students involved with our programs are financially literate, socially responsible and entrepreneurial minded. With ACE in operation the future of Canada is in good hands.”
