TORONTO, ON (January 27, 2010) - ACE is excited to announce the appointment of a new national office team member, Maria Khan to the position of Student Success Coordinator.
Maria’s role will focus on establishing a strategy to help students reach their potential and assist them in achieving their desired career paths. Maria graduated from George Brown College with a BA diploma in HR in 2007. She then went on to attend Ryerson University where she graduated with a BCOMM specializing in Human Resources Management.
Maria has experience working in the HR field in various industry sectors including the not-for-profit sector and healthcare sector. She has also worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Ryerson University where she contributed to the implementation of a new course curriculum for a first year Organizational Behavior course. In addition to working closely with students as a Teaching Assistant, Maria’s extensive experience managing recruitment activities has strongly prepared her for her role as a Student Success Coordinator.
About ACE Founded in the mid-1980s, ACE is a national charitable organization that is teaching and igniting young Canadians to create brighter futures for themselves and their communities. Working in partnership with business and higher education, ACE provides post-secondary students with the opportunity to gain entrepreneurial and leadership skills, outside of the classroom, through a team based program, Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) and an individual based program, Student Entrepreneur. Due to direct involvement with ACE, students move on to become entrepreneurs and business leaders who will make a meaningful contribution towards a better Canada.
