Toronto ON (Wednesday, February 24, 2010) – In 2010 and moving forward, ACE is thrilled to further engage all involved by sharing the many success stories, told by those who live them first hand - the students, alumni, faculty and donors. The purpose of this initiative is to showcase the ongoing leadership, vital connections and economic impact ACE has had in the past, continues to have today, and will have for years to come.
Do you have a story to share? A story can come in many forms - why did you get involved with ACE? What have you learned from your ACE experience? What type of impact do you hope to have in Canada, and even in the world? The possibilities are endless and the ACE National Office wants to hear from you.
"We are excited to implement a new initiative in 2010; shining a spotlight on the personal stories that exists from coast to coast because of ACE”, explains ACE President, Amy Harder. “This is the opportunity for everyone who has been involved or is currently involved to be a part of the story.”
Please visit the Share Your Story form on aceexpo.ca today to communicate your own personal details. Also, if you are attending one of the three 2010 ACE Regional Expositions - a camera person will be onsite to capture testimonials.
From this collaboration, ACE will select anecdotes from every stakeholder group to share at the 2010 National Exposition, on the website, through media relations efforts and via ACE specific social media outlets.
About ACE Founded in the mid-1980s, Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE) is a national, charitable organization that is teaching and igniting young Canadians to create brighter futures for themselves and their communities. ACE delivers a team-based program called Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) and an individual-based program, the Student Entrepreneur National Competition. These programs provide university and college students access to real world experience, through the implementation of outreach projects and business ventures that complement in-class studies. Students involved in ACE make a meaningful contribution to their communities today, and discover their potential to achieve an even greater impact as the leaders of tomorrow. Last year, ACE students created 600 jobs, logged 260,000 volunteer hours, impacted 63,000 people, and generated over $40 million in economic activity. ACE is currently established on over 50 post-secondary campuses across Canada.
