Toronto, ON (Thursday, March11, 2010) – Greig Perantinos, owner of Cool Moose Creamery and full time student at Western - Richard Ivey School of Business, has been named the 2010 Student Entrepreneur Regional Champion by national charitable organization, Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE) and proud program supporter, CIBC.

All Ontario and Quebec based provincial student entrepreneurs champions were judged by live panels of business professionals, and regional champions were announced on Monday March 8th in Toronto at the 2010 ACE Central Canada Regional Exposition.

As a Regional Champion, Greig will receive a $1,000 cash prize and move on to the final round of competition at the 2010 ACE National Exposition in Calgary on May 12, 2010. The National Champion will receive a $10,000 cash prize and represent Canada at the international level of competition, the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards.

"Being a part of ACE's Exposition was an amazing experience, and to be named Regional Champion is an absolute honour, comments Cool Moose Owner, Greig Perantinos. “I encourage all post secondary students to be a part of ACE.”

“We are thrilled to present this Regional Champion title to Greig Perantinos of Cool Moose Creamery,” comments ACE President, Amy Harder    . “His perseverance and dedication serves as a great example for student entrepreneurs across Central Canada.”

About Cool Moose Creamery
Greig has owned and operated the Cool Moose Creamery, first established in the town of Tottenham, Ontario in the summer of 2008, serving a great variety of hard ice cream flavours and freshly mixed frozen yogurt with fruit from May through September. The following summer, a second store was added just minutes North in the growing town of Alliston. Greig’s largest business accomplishment has been successfully opening and operating two stores.  It is an important priority of Cool Moose Creamery to give back to the community, and with more stores there is more opportunity to contribute.  After two summers, over $7,000 has been raised for local charities including the Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Simcoe, the Alliston and District Humane Society, the Tottenham Food Bank, and the Tottenham Lions Club.
